The Digital Differential Pressure Gauge (AI-DDPG) is a digital readout replacement for traditional analog Magnehelic® gauges, designed for applications in laminar air flow cabinets, clean rooms, biosafety cabinets, and air handling units (AHUs). It pairs a built-in differential pressure sensor with a clear 4-digit LED display, giving facilities an accurate, easy-to-read alternative to analog differential pressure gauges without sacrificing the compact form factor needed for clean room wall fitment. The AI-DDPG also features a built-in buzzer alarm with acknowledgement, unit switching between mm.W.C. and Pascals at the press of a key, and further integrates with Building Management Systems (BMS) via RS-485 Modbus or with PLC/SCADA systems via a 4-20mA output.
An integrated high-speed differential pressure sensor continuously measures the pressure difference between two connected points and displays the reading on a 4-digit LED or LCD screen, depending on configuration. Units can be switched between mm.W.C. and Pascals at the press of a key, letting facility teams read in whichever unit their site standard or documentation requires without needing a separate conversion step.
Traditional analog gauges rely on a mechanical pointer and dial, readable only by someone standing in front of the unit, with precision limited by how finely the dial is graduated and how accurately the eye can read the pointer position. The AI-DDPG addresses each of these limitations directly.
A digital sensor and 4-digit display reads pressure differential to a resolution of 1 Pascal or 0.1 mm.W.C., a level of precision an analog pointer and dial simply cannot match, especially at the lower end of common measurement ranges.
Analog gauges are subject to parallax error and interpretation differences between operators reading the same dial. A digital numeric readout removes this ambiguity entirely, what is displayed is the reading, with no room for interpretation.
An analog gauge only communicates its reading to whoever is physically looking at it. The AI-DDPG's RS-485 Modbus output allows pressure data to be logged, trended, and alarmed centrally through a BMS or SCADA system, supporting continuous audit trails that a pointer gauge cannot provide on its own.
With an integrated buzzer alarm and acknowledgement facility, the AI-DDPG can flag a setpoint violation the moment it happens, rather than relying on someone noticing a dial has drifted out of range during a routine walkthrough.
