Each clock family offers dual communication options, wired RS485 Modbus for permanent installations and wireless RF for areas where new cabling is impractical, along with a choice of master time source: an Ethernet Master Clock synced to server time or a GPS Master Clock synced directly to the GPS satellite network. Displays use super bright red 7 segment LEDs in 2.5 inch and 4 inch heights, readable from a distance on a plant floor or control room wall, in HH:MM or HH:MM:SS formats depending on the model.
The wired network scales to 120 slave clocks per master over a simple two core multidrop cable, while the wireless network scales to 108 slave clocks per master with per second time updates over 865 MHz RF, using a mesh network topology that ensures consistent communication and reliable extended coverage. Internal high accuracy timekeeping with battery backup in each slave clock keeps the display running uninterrupted through a communication or power interruption, resynchronizing automatically once restored, in a low maintenance design suited to long term, unattended operation in industrial environments.

The master clock holds the reference time and pushes it out to every slave on the line, and can itself pull time from a GPS Master Clock, which takes time directly from the GPS satellite network for facilities that need an independent, non network time reference.

The wireless configuration removes cabling entirely. The master pushes an updated time signal to every slave over the free to air 865 MHz radio frequency. As with the wired system, the RF master clock can be either an Ethernet Master Clock synced to server time, or a GPS Master Clock synced to satellite time.
RF clocks form a mesh network rather than a simple point to point link. The master talks to its nearest slave, that slave relays to the next slave, and so on, and this mesh structure extends the practical communication range.
